Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 (FS(J)L)

Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008 (Supervisory Bodies Law)

This statement is made to warn members of the public against dealing with unauthorised financial service providers, including the scam entity. 
The JFSC is aware the scam entity is:

  • falsely claiming to trade from Forum House, Grenville Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 4UF
  • carrying on, or holding out as carrying on, investment business and Schedule 2 business (trading in money market instruments such as CFDs, and foreign exchange) in Jersey when it is not authorised to do so by the JFSC

The JFSC confirms:

  1. the scam entity has never been registered, nor applied for registration, under the FS(J)L or the Supervisory Bodies Law. Therefore, any investment business or Schedule 2 business carried on by the scam entity, is in contravention of Article 7 of the FS(J)L and Article 10 of the Supervisory Bodies Law
  2. the scam entity, email addresses and correspondence viewed by Enforcement display warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes
  3. the scam entity is falsely claiming to be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority

Anyone who has had dealings with the scam entity should contact our Enforcement team.

  • a company’s registration details by visiting Registry — Jersey Financial Services Commission

All non-Jersey regulated businesses will be listed on the respective jurisdiction’s regulators’ websites. You can verify a non-Jersey company’s regulated status and registration details by visiting the respective regulator’s website.
